Atlanta Chapter | Surfrider Foundation
Landlocked surfers who wanted to do their part
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots environmental organization dedicated to the protection and preservation of our world's oceans, waves and beaches. Now in its 25th year, the Surfrider Foundation has grown from a small group of dedicated surfers in Malibu, California to a global movement made up of over 50,000 members and 90 chapters worldwide.
The Surfrider Foundation Atlanta Chapter was started in 2009 by a group of landlocked surfers who wanted to do their part to protect the world's oceans and beaches.
Our Mission is to raise awareness and take direct action for the protection and preservation of all waterways in our region as an integral component of the water systems that feed the ocean. We will unite with all those who care about the state of our rivers, lakes and oceans to create a positive impact by hosting clean-ups and creating public awareness in both local areas and wherever our surfing passion takes us
